Ahern State Park spans 128 acres, with 3,500 feet of shoreline on Lake Winnisquam. Activites in the park include fishing, biking, and hiking. The park was transferred to the state in November, 1994 as Governor's State Park, and renamed by statute in 1998. Ahern State Park is unstaffed but is open to the public year-round at no charge. Gates are open from 7:00am to 6pm daily. Gates are closed during mud season. A pit toilet is available. |
