LEARN MORE ABOUT THE HAMPTON BEACH STATE PARK REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT
Hampton Beach State Park provides year-round recreation, with Atlantic ocean-front facilities situated along miles of sandy beach. The Seashell complex includes a band shell amphitheater, public information services, comfort station, and first aid. Activities in the park include swimming, fishing, picnicking, and RV camping with full hook-ups in the campground.
Fees: Day-Use: $15.00 per auto (Auto indicates a passenger vehicle with 5 people or less on board. Fee includes car, driver, and 4 passengers.) $20.00 per RV/bus/van (RV/bus/van indicates vehicles with the capability to carry more than 5 passengers and requiring extra parking space to accommodate the size of the vehicle. Fee includes vehicle, driver, and 4 passengers. Additional adults are charged $4.00 each, additional children ages 6-11 are charged $2.00 each.) Parking Meters: Hours of operation for the meters are 8:00 am to midnight, seven days a week, from May 1 through October 1. Parking Meters are located along Route 1A and accept quarters and tokens only. If quarters are used, the rate is $1.50 per hour. Tokens cost $5 each for and are good for four hours. Tokens can be purchased at change machines at the following locations:
- Parking lot south of the Hampton Seashell complex - south end and north end
- Restroom on Ross Avenue
- Restrooms at North Beach, Jenness Beach and North Hampton State Beach
Operation Schedule: The Ross Avenue restroom is open year-round. The bathrooms at the Seashell are open from April 18 through November 1, 2008. Day-Use: Daily from May 24 through September 7, 2008. Hours of operation, weather permitting, are 8:00am - 4:00pm Monday through Friday, and 8:00am - 6:00pm on Saturdays & Sundays. Camping: Pre-season first-come/first-served camping with limited staffing and facilities from April 26 - May 22; reserved camping with full staffing and facilities from May 23 through October 13; first-come/first-served camping from October 14 through October 26, 2008. Lifeguards: 9:00am-5:30pm Memorial Day weekend (May 24-26, 2008); May 31-June 1; daily from June 7-September 1 |

Due to nesting of the Endangered Piping Plovers, the handicapped accessible ramp at the State Park is unavailable. There is an accessible ramp available at the Seashell Complex. |
